[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] On the afternoon of the 8th, Chaehyunil, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, visited the cotton mask production site of the Yangpyeong 1-dong resident volunteer group ‘Sebakwi’ to encourage the volunteers.

Mayor Chae expressed gratitude for the dedication of the residents volunteering to protect the safety and lives of vulnerable groups and discussed cooperation measures at the district level.

He also urged district officials to establish measures to stabilize mask supply and build a solid welfare safety net.

The volunteer group ‘Sebakwi’ produces cotton masks with filter inserts and delivers them to the Munrae-dong goshiwon village and the Daegu Community Chest of Korea. They plan to continue delivering masks to vulnerable groups in Yangpyeong 1-dong, leading efforts to practice neighborly love.
