The candidate said, “On the 4th, the government allocated 11.7 trillion won as a supplementary budget for COVID-19,” adding, “2.3 trillion won will be invested to advance the infectious disease quarantine system, 2.4 trillion won for the recovery of small business owners and SMEs, 3 trillion won for livelihood and employment stabilization, 800 billion won to revive local economies and commercial districts, and 1.5 trillion won for special support to the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions to promote livelihood stabilization.”

He emphasized, “Recently, due to COVID-19, overall domestic economic sentiment has rapidly contracted, and consumer sentiment is also shrinking at a fast pace,” and “If this is left unattended, the economy will inevitably fall into a vicious cycle of overall recession.”

He continued, “To resolve this, it is essential to inject the supplementary budget to support affected industries, small business owners, self-employed individuals, and vulnerable groups to revitalize the economy,” and “For this effect to be efficiently realized, an extraordinary session of the National Assembly must be convened promptly to pass the supplementary budget and allocate it timely to the appropriate sectors.”
