[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Park Hee-eun] On the morning of the 6th, Kim Eo-jun referred to the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) as "the Daegu incident and the Shincheonji incident" during his tbs radio broadcast.

In his opening remarks for 'Kim Eo-jun's News Factory,' he said, "As of yesterday, the ratio of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Daegu has reached 1 in every 560 citizens," adding, "If this trend continues, next week there will be 1 confirmed case for every 400 or 300 people in Daegu."

Kim continued, "If China was really the problem (in the spread of Wuhan coronavirus), why would the metropolitan area with a population of 23 million have only 1 confirmed case per 100,000 people?" He emphasized, "The numbers clearly speak for themselves. Our COVID-19 situation is the Daegu incident and the Shincheonji incident."

He then raised questions, saying, "Why don't the conservative opposition parties pressure the prosecution to conduct a forced investigation as demanded by Daegu citizens? Why isn't the prosecution taking action? Why doesn't the media criticize them?" He then selected the song "Wae Geurae" by singer Kim Hyun-chul.
