[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] Dongshin University (President Choi Il) announced on the 6th that it sent letters of encouragement and 10 masks each to 30 enrolled students in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions who are going through difficult times due to the COVID-19 crisis.
President Choi Il said, “Due to COVID-19, universities have collectively postponed the start of the semester and will conduct remote classes online for two weeks starting from the 16th. Although this is an unprecedented situation, it is an unavoidable choice for ourselves and the public, so we are preparing responsibly without any negligence.”
He continued, “I am deeply saddened by the severe damage in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions and am sending masks with feelings of consolation and support,” adding, “Let us all stay strong and meet again on the Dongshin University campus in spring with bright smiles.”
Meanwhile, on the 5th, Dongshin University also delivered care packages containing snacks, hygiene products, and daily necessities along with the message, “Dear Chinese international students! Spring is coming. Stay strong!” to Chinese students living separately in the dormitories.
