Gwangju City Election Commission Goes All Out for Voter Encouragement Campaign

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Gwangju Metropolitan City Election Commission, about 40 days ahead of the 21st general election, is stepping up promotional activities for voting, anticipating that the voting atmosphere may be dampened due to the spread of COVID-19.

According to the Gwangju Election Commission on the 6th, large promotional towers were first installed at Gwangju Station and 5·18 Square. Additionally, advertisements on shopping cart handles at large supermarkets and X-banners promoting policy elections and voting participation were displayed at 20 subway stations in the Gwangju area.

Promotional videos for the National Assembly election are being displayed through bus information terminals in the Gwangju area, large outdoor electronic billboards at key locations such as in front of Seogu Cultural Center, and apartment elevator monitors.

Along with this, a voting participation relay video featuring merchants from Songjeong Station Market, docents from the National Asia Culture Center, and guides from Mudeungsan National Park was produced and posted on the official SNS channels (YouTube, Instagram, etc.) of the Gwangju Election Commission.

A representative from the Gwangju Election Commission said, “We plan to prepare the election without any setbacks so that voters can participate with confidence, and we ask that you exercise your precious voting rights.”
