The owner of the letter wanted to contribute a small help to the Suncheon City Public Health Center, which has been working hard to prevent the spread of COVID-19, and enclosed a handwritten letter of support for the health center staff along with 1 million won in cash, providing great strength to the staff exhausted from the prolonged COVID-19 infection prevention work.

The anonymous citizen who visited the Suncheon City Safety General Division said, “Seeing the health center and Suncheon City Hall lit up late at night due to COVID-19, I felt grateful for the hard work for the citizens,” and added, “I decided to donate to help those who are working hard even a little, and I asked not to inform anyone and to use it well.” Then they left.

The letter reads, “Everyone will surely win this difficult war against COVID-19 by joining forces. I want to dedicate this to the Suncheon Public Health Center staff who are running around without getting enough sleep at night.”

A Suncheon City official said, “We were getting exhausted from COVID-19 work amid ongoing tension, but receiving such encouragement gives us the strength to do our best,” and expressed gratitude, saying, “The donated funds will be used carefully for neighbors in need, and we will definitely overcome COVID-19 well.”

Meanwhile, on the 5th, the Nonghyup Federation in Suncheon entrusted 30 million won in donations for overcoming COVID-19 to the Suncheon City through the Community Chest of Korea.
