[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kang Juhee] Comedian Park Myungsoo expressed his views regarding donations to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
On the morning of the 6th, Park Myungsoo hosted the 'Search N Chart' segment with big data expert Team Leader Jeon Minki on KBS CoolFM's 'Park Myungsoo's Radio Show.'
When Team Leader Jeon Minki started by saying, "Park Myungsoo's donation became a big topic," Park Myungsoo replied, "There are people who have donated more than I have, and sincerity is also important."
Jeon Minki said, "It's good that donations from famous people in society continue, but it's unfortunate that articles seem to emphasize the amount. Recently, a celebrity who donated 1 million won even received malicious comments, which was heartbreaking."
In response, Park Myungsoo expressed his conviction, saying, "Consistent donations are better. Regardless of the amount, sincerity should be valued. Many people actually donate automatically from their salary, and if it becomes a burden, you shouldn't donate. There's no need to feel pressured about donating. Even small amounts are fine."
Earlier, Park Myungsoo had donated 20,000 masks to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
