[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kang Juhee] SBS's new variety show 'Trotshin is Here' ranked first among terrestrial channels in the same time slot, recording a peak minute rating of 20.2% from its first broadcast.

According to Nielsen Korea, a ratings survey company, SBS's variety program 'Trotshin is Here,' which aired its first episode on the 4th, recorded nationwide ratings of 9.2% for Part 1 and 14.9% for Part 2.

This figure is a significant increase compared to the last episode (2.3%) of its predecessor 'I Want to Talk with Lee Dong Wook,' and it greatly surpassed the ratings of KBS2's Wednesday-Thursday drama 'Forest' (4.8%) aired in the same time slot.

'Trotshin is Here' depicts the overseas busking journey of singers aiming to globalize trot music. Singers Nam Jin, Kim Yeonja, Seol Woondo, Joo Hyunmi, Jin Sung, and Jang Yoonjeong appear as Trotshin.

The broadcast showed the first meeting of the trot legends and the process of performing busking stages in Vietnam.

The Trotshin, who had never done busking overseas with trot music, showed clear signs of nervousness. However, once on stage, they passionately sang trot songs to excite the audience, soon drawing enthusiastic responses from Vietnamese locals and tourists.

Following this, Jang Yoonjeong's stage, which closed the show, reached a peak minute rating of 20.2%.
