[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] ResearchAlum forecasted on the 2nd that NICE Information & Telecommunication, which secured delivery service companies as major clients amid the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, is expected to benefit.

Choi Seonghwan, Senior Researcher at ResearchAlum, analyzed, "Electronic payment companies such as NHN Korea Cyber Payment and KG Inicis are being reevaluated as beneficiaries of COVID-19," adding, "NICE Information & Telecommunication is still being overlooked."

He also said, "This is believed to be due to concerns over the worsening real economy, as VAN sales, which are mainly offline payments, have a high proportion."

However, he explained, "As consumers are refraining from outdoor activities, the delivery market is rapidly growing," and "The increase in VAN sales through delivery workers suggests that market concerns are unfounded."

NICE Information & Telecommunication has secured major clients such as Baedal Minjok and Coupang. The PG division's sales proportion is estimated to increase from 45% last year to 58% this year.

Researcher Choi said, "We also expect the new growth engine, the tax refund business," and added, "Meaningful performance is expected to emerge from the second half of this year, when the impact of COVID-19 is anticipated to subside."
