Second COVID-19 Case Confirmed in Yangcheon-gu

36-year-old B residing in Sinjeong4-dong has contact history with Suncheon confirmed case (diagnosed on February 29)

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] The second confirmed case of COVID-19 has occurred in Yangcheon-gu.

The second confirmed patient in Yangcheon-gu, who received the final positive diagnosis on the morning of the 1st, is Mr. B (36 years old, male) residing in Sinjeong 4-dong, and it has been confirmed that he had contact with a confirmed patient from Suncheon City (diagnosed on February 29).

Mr. B underwent specimen collection at the Yangcheon-gu Public Health Center on the afternoon of February 29 and received a positive diagnosis on the morning of March 1. He is currently under self-quarantine and is being prepared for transfer to a nationally designated hospital.

Kim Soo-young, Mayor of Yangcheon-gu, stated, "We will actively cooperate with the epidemiological investigation results from the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and disclose the confirmed patient's movement path as quickly as possible once identified."
