[Asia Economy Reporter Won Dara] Lee Nak-yeon, Co-Chairman of the Democratic Party of Korea's Joint Election Countermeasures Committee, urged that securing beds for severe patients is urgent in relation to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
On the afternoon of the 29th, Chairman Lee wrote on Facebook, "Today, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases increased to 3,150," and said, "Securing beds for severe patients is urgent."
He also said, "The Medical Association, Hospital Association, and frontline medical staff say that beds should be managed efficiently according to the patient's condition," and added, "The government should collect such opinions and respond appropriately and promptly."
Chairman Lee added, "Support for frontline medical staff should not be neglected."
