First COVID-19 Case at Government Sejong Complex...Positive Case of Ministry of Personnel Management Employee

According to Sejong City on the 28th, an employee belonging to the Ministry of Personnel Management located at the Government Sejong Complex was confirmed to have tested positive for COVID-19. This is the first confirmed case among public officials working at the Government Sejong Complex.

Prior to this, the employee's wife, who resides in Cheonan, was the first to be diagnosed with COVID-19, and subsequently, the husband, an employee of the Ministry of Personnel Management, underwent testing. The employee was finally confirmed positive around 2 p.m. on the same day.

The Ministry of Personnel Management explained that from the 27th, they instructed colleagues and contacts to self-quarantine. However, since the Ministry of Personnel Management building is located in a separate building near Building 6 of the Government Sejong Complex, the possibility of transmission within government ministries is considered relatively low.
