Masks Laid Out at Nonghyup Hanaro Mart... 1000~1400 Won Per Piece

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyunjung] Mask products are being supplied at 1,000 to 1,400 KRW per piece at Nonghyup Hanaro Mart stores nationwide. Nonghyup is making every effort to secure public supply quantities and plans to increase the supply volume.

On the 28th, through overnight logistics work for 284,000 masks received by 3 a.m., Nonghyup announced that 187,000 masks were supplied to Hanaro Mart stores in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions, and 97,000 masks to Hanaro Mart stores in the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam regions on the same day. Although the actual arrival times at each store may vary by region, they explained that all masks will be displayed on shelves within the day. NH Nonghyup Bank and local agricultural cooperative financial branches are not included in the sales stores.

Additionally, 850,000 masks will be secured within the day and supplied on the following day, the 29th. The specific regions for this quantity have not yet been determined, and the actual arrival times at each store are expected to vary.

With this measure, masks distributed at Hanaro Mart will be sold at prices ranging from 1,000 to 1,400 KRW per piece (varying by product) according to the government's public sales plan. To allow as many customers as possible, including rural residents and vulnerable groups, to purchase masks, the government policy limits the quantity sold per person. For packs of 5 masks, one pack per person can be purchased, and for packs of 3 masks, up to two packs per person can be purchased.

Nonghyup is swiftly distributing secured quantities to stores to ensure smooth supply of public masks and is dedicating all efforts to securing additional quantities. Starting next week, the goal is to supply the daily target of 550,000 masks assigned by the government without disruption through 1,900 Nonghyup Hanaro Mart stores in regions excluding Seoul and Gyeonggi.

Lee Seonghee, Chairman of Nonghyup Central Association, stated, "Nonghyup will actively implement the government's flexible mask supply policy and mobilize the full capabilities of the entire Nonghyup to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and alleviate public anxiety."
