Temi Headquarters Focuses on Business with East Asian Partners Including Korea and Japan
Joint Development and Service Expansion of Smart Quarantine Care Service with Hurim Robot
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Hurim Robot announced on the 28th that Temi Global Ltd., the global headquarters of Temi, has attracted an investment of 15 million dollars (approximately 18.222 billion KRW) from institutional investors in China.
The funding was led by Joy Capital, a Chinese venture capital firm. John Wu, an existing investor who has invested more than 30 million dollars in Temi, also participated.
Gal Goren, CEO and co-founder of Temi Global Ltd., stated that through this investment, they will drive the growth of Temi robot and software service sales and strengthen overseas business with East Asian partners.
Gal Goren, CEO of Temi Global Ltd., said, "The investment will be used to enhance the global marketing and sales capabilities of the mobility personal robot Temi." He added, "We will focus on business with East Asian partner countries such as Korea, Japan, and Hong Kong, and also promote joint research and development."
Hurim Robot is jointly developing a smart quarantine care service to prevent and control the spread of COVID-19 with Temi Global Ltd. Utilizing the mobile quarantine care robot Temi, they are striving to provide quarantine care services based on ‘non-face-to-face’, ‘contactless’, and ‘mobility’ functions at multi-use facilities such as public institutions, hospitals, churches, and retail stores.
The mobile smart quarantine care robot Temi has introduced self-fever diagnosis and response services that allow general citizens, including visitors, to actively check and respond to fever conditions, as well as automatic spray cleaning and contactless operation services. The company explained that inquiries for purchase have been flooding in since commercialization.
Temi’s global headquarters is located in New York, USA, with an R&D laboratory in Tel Aviv, Israel, and business and manufacturing facilities in Shenzhen, China.
