[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] On the 28th, fashion company Shinwon donated 100 million KRW to the Daegu branch of the Korean Red Cross to participate in preventing the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) and aid in damage recovery.
The donation from Shinwon will be used for supporting quarantine supplies and providing emergency relief goods.
A Shinwon official stated, "As the number of COVID-19 confirmed cases has increased significantly, the economy has been greatly contracted, and the fashion industry itself is also in a slump, but we decided to donate with the intention of sharing the pain," adding, "We hope that all citizens and companies unite as one to stop the spread of COVID-19 and achieve a swift return to normalcy."
