Mirae Asset Global Investments Launches First Product on Kakao Pay Securities

Collecting Market Data Daily with AI to Adjust Risk and Safe Asset Ratios

[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] Mirae Asset Global Investments is launching its first fund product sold through Kakao Pay Securities.

On the 28th, Mirae Asset Global Investments announced that it will launch the 'Mirae Asset Rational AI Global Momentum Fund,' a fund of funds investing in various global assets using artificial intelligence (AI), and begin sales through Kakao Pay Securities.

This product incorporates various global multi-asset exchange-traded funds (ETFs). The AI collects market data daily, buying assets in an upward trend and selling assets in a downward trend according to market phases, adjusting the proportions of risk and safe assets.

Considering market conditions and correlations between master funds, the investment ratio is adjusted to allocate more than 70% to the 'Mirae Asset AI Global Momentum Mixed Asset Master Fund' and less than 30% to the 'Mirae Asset MSCI AC WORLD Index Master Fund.'

Among these, the Mirae Asset AI Global Momentum Mixed Asset Master Fund primarily invests in domestic and international ETFs based on assets such as stocks, bonds, commodities, and real estate. It constructs the final portfolio by considering the AI algorithm's momentum analysis and risk, and conducts currency hedging for foreign currency assets.

The Mirae Asset MSCI AC WORLD Index Master Fund tracks the MSCI ACWI index, which consists of more than 3,000 mid-to-large-cap stocks across 49 countries, including developed and emerging markets, and 11 sectors as of the end of last year. Currency hedging is not performed.

Kakao Pay users can open a Kakao Pay Securities account online through a simple authentication process. Investments can be made from as little as 1,000 KRW based on an analysis of the user's investment propensity.

Meanwhile, Mirae Asset is also preparing the industry's first AI-based active equity ETF. Im Myung-jae, Head of WM Marketing at Mirae Asset Global Investments, said, "This product combines Mirae Asset's management expertise with AI technology to present a new investment solution," adding, "Investors who want to experience AI algorithm-based investing will be able to easily access it through Kakao Pay Securities."
