Seoul Jung-gu Appoints Councilor Ewhamook for 2019 Fiscal Year Final Audit Responsibility

[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] The Jung-gu Council of Seoul (Chairman Jo Young-hoon) held an appointment ceremony for the 2019 fiscal year settlement inspection committee members in the chairman's office on the 26th.

For this responsibility inspection committee, Councilor Lee Hwa-mook was appointed.

Councilor Lee, along with accountant An Seong-jin, tax accountant Sang Mi-jung, former public official Jeong Gi-am, and former public official Jo Chung-hyun, will serve as settlement inspection committee members for 30 days from April 2 to May 1.

The inspection targets include the 2019 fiscal year of Jung-gu Office ▲settlement of revenue and expenditure ▲settlement of continuing expenses, specified carryover expenses, and accidental carryover expenses ▲settlement of bonds and debts ▲settlement of assets and funds ▲settlement of public property and various funds.

The committee members will review and verify the appropriateness of financial management, the adequacy and legality of the execution process across the entire district administration based on settlement documents and supporting materials.

Councilor Lee Hwa-mook, who took on the responsibility inspection role, said, “As a resident of the district myself, I will diligently examine the appropriateness and legality of the budget execution process and the performance of financial management with a sense of duty, and make every effort throughout the entire settlement inspection process. Furthermore, through time spent deliberating with fellow committee members for progressive and rational financial management, I hope to envision a healthy and robust financial future for Jung-gu.”
