[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] On Friday the 28th, rain or snow is expected nationwide.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 27th, rain will start early in the morning along the Jeolla-do coast and spread to most western areas including Seoul by the morning. It will expand nationwide during the daytime.
By the time of the evening commute, rain will stop in Chungcheong and the southern regions, but it will continue in the Seoul metropolitan area, Gangwon, and Jeju.
Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, Chungcheong-do, Jeolla-do, the southern coast of Gyeongnam, inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon are expected to receive 5 to 10 mm of rain, while the eastern coast of Gangwon, Gyeongsang-do, the West Sea 5 islands, Ulleungdo, and Dokdo will see around 5 mm of rain.
In the mountainous areas of Gangwon where temperatures are low, heavy snowfall of 2 to 7 cm is possible. Accumulated snow may cause roads to freeze. Pedestrian safety accidents and traffic safety should be carefully observed.
As the atmosphere temporarily stagnates, fine dust concentration in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, and Chungcheong-do may rise to 'bad' levels for a short time in the morning. Other regions will remain at 'normal' levels.
Morning temperatures on this day are expected to range from -2 to 6 degrees Celsius, and daytime temperatures from 5 to 10 degrees Celsius. Sea waves will reach up to 1.0 to 2.5 meters across all seas.
From the daytime on the weekend, the weather will clear up again and become mild. Rain is expected in Jeju on Sunday.
