[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Jeon Gwang-hoon, pastor of the Korea Christian Federation (Han Ki Chong) who was detained on charges of violating the Public Official Election Act, requested a reexamination to determine whether his detention was appropriate, but the court did not accept it.


The 5-2 Criminal Appeal Division of the Seoul Central District Court (Presiding Judges Yoo Seok-dong, Lee Gwan-hyung, and Choi Byung-ryul) dismissed Pastor Jeon's detention review request on the 27th.


Jeon, the general representative of the National Struggle Headquarters for the Resignation of Moon Jae-in (Beomtu-bon), was detained on the 24th on charges including appealing for support for a specific political party at the Gwanghwamun rally.
