According to Kyodo News on the 27th, Hokkaido, Japan, announced that a man in his 80s infected with COVID-19 has died.

Accordingly, the number of deaths among confirmed COVID-19 cases increased by one from the previous day, reaching eight.

Previously, four of the deceased were passengers on the cruise ship Diamond Princess, where a large number of COVID-19 infections were confirmed, and the four who died on the 27th, including the man, were people who did not board the Diamond Princess.

The man who died on this day was hospitalized on the 3rd of this month after complaining of breathing difficulties and was known to have heart and lung conditions.
