청 NSC "Strengthening Diplomatic Efforts to Prevent Unfair Treatment of Citizens During Overseas Travel"

[Asia Economy Reporter Son Sunhee] On the 27th, the Blue House held a Standing Committee meeting of the National Security Council (NSC) chaired by National Security Office Director Jeong Eui-yong, and regarding the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), it announced that "diplomatic efforts will be strengthened to ensure that our citizens traveling abroad do not face unfair treatment or disadvantages."


The Blue House stated in a press release that afternoon that the standing committee members reviewed the domestic and international quarantine response situation related to COVID-19 and discussed this matter. It added, "The standing committee members also discussed ways to expand military support to prevent the domestic spread of COVID-19."


Additionally, regarding the 'Korea-US Defense Ministers Meeting' held in the United States on the 24th, it conveyed that "while maintaining a strong Korea-US combined defense posture, both sides agreed to cooperate more closely to reach an early conclusion on the defense cost-sharing negotiations."
