According to Bloomberg News on the 26th (local time), the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) mortgage application index for the week ending on the 21st rose by 1.5% compared to the previous week. This followed a sharp 6.4% decline the week before, showing a rebound.
The mortgage application index for home purchases increased by 5.7%, rebounding from a 3.4% decline the previous week.
The refinancing index for refinancing existing mortgages fell by 0.8%, narrowing the drop from an 8.0% plunge the previous week.
