Daegu city announced on the 26th that one city bus driver tested positive for COVID-19.
According to Daegu city, the No. 805 city bus driven by Mr. A operates the route from Banyaweol in Dong-gu, Daegu to Dongdaegu Station, Kyungpook National University Hospital, Keimyung University Daemyeong Campus, and Dalseo-gu Wootneun Eolgul Art Center.
Mr. A finished his route on the morning of the 21st, had lunch with a colleague, and then left work. After developing a fever, he informed his company and entered self-quarantine. On the 24th, he visited the Gyeongsan Public Health Center in Gyeongbuk for a COVID-19 test and was confirmed positive the next day. Mr. A's wife also tested positive and is receiving treatment together.
Daegu city disinfected the bus driven by Mr. A, the office, and the garage. Another bus has been deployed to operate the route. Additionally, one colleague who had close contact with Mr. A has been placed under self-quarantine and is being tested for infection. The restaurant where Mr. A had a meal with his coworkers will remain closed until the 27th, with continued disinfection efforts.
Daegu city confirmed that Mr. A has no connection with the Shincheonji Church.
