According to local media on the 26th (local time), a man in his 60s who recently traveled to Italy was confirmed as a COVID-19 patient through two tests.
The man traveled in the northern region of Italy from the 9th to the 21st and showed symptoms similar to COVID-19 upon returning. The first test at a hospital in S?o Paulo city showed a positive result, and he was transferred to a government-designated quarantine facility for a second test. The Brazilian Ministry of Health stated that the man is currently in self-isolation and his health condition is relatively stable.
The National Health Surveillance Agency under the Ministry of Health announced that it has obtained the passenger list from the airline the man used upon returning and will conduct tests on those passengers as well.
