Goodoc Launches 'Corona Scanner,' a COVID-19 Alert App for Your Area

As COVID-19 escalated to a serious level and community transmission rapidly spread, interest in apps that provide information and prevention measures for the virus has increased.

Goodoc, a pioneer in hospital and pharmacy search services, announced the launch of the ‘Corona Scanner’ service, which allows users to check the movement paths of confirmed patients around them based on patient trend information provided by the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency and local governments.

The ‘Corona Scanner’ service enables users to see the routes visited by confirmed patients and the distance between the user and the patients based on the user’s current location. It also offers a bulletin board service where many people can freely share their opinions about COVID-19. Users say, “It is very user-friendly because I can see at a glance whether there are confirmed patients’ movement paths within my vicinity based on location,” and “It is convenient to use because I can also check information about the confirmed patients.”

Goodoc’s co-CEOs Kyungdeuk Park and Jinseok Lim stated, “As smartphones have become widespread, more users want faster and more accurate information,” adding, “Goodoc will continue to update useful information and services until the COVID-19 situation subsides and stabilizes.” The remote medical support service for preventing the spread of COVID-19 infection and the ‘Corona Scanner’ service can be downloaded for free by searching for ‘Goodoc’ on the Google Play Store or the App Store.
