[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Jangheung-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Jeong Jong-sun) announced on the 26th that it held an emergency countermeasure meeting with local medical institutions on the 25th to prevent the spread of 'COVID-19'.

The countermeasure meeting held at the Jangheung-gun Public Health Center was attended by Jeong Jong-sun, Governor of Jangheung-gun, the director of Jangheung General Hospital, and heads of 18 other local medical institutions.

The meeting was organized to discuss community response and the role of medical institutions following the escalation of the 'COVID-19' crisis alert to the severe stage.

The attending hospital directors pledged to "strengthen patient management and enhance cooperation for early detection and prevention of spread," emphasizing that "above all, strict adherence to personal hygiene rules is essential to prevent infections among residents."

The Jangheung-gun Public Health Center has formed a dedicated disinfection team for proactive response to 'COVID-19', conducting daily disinfection, distributing sanitation supplies to group facilities and multi-use facilities, and maintaining a 24-hour emergency response system.

Governor Jeong Jong-sun stated, "The community will maintain a close cooperative system until the 'COVID-19' situation is resolved," adding, "We will deploy all available resources at the county level to protect the health and lives of our residents."
