[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Seongbuk-gu (Mayor Lee Seung-ro) Wolgok 1-dong Community Service Center is taking various measures to prevent the local spread of COVID-19.

Since the 24th, the center has strengthened measures such as checking the temperature of all visitors and encouraging the use of hand sanitizers, as well as promoting COVID-19 prevention guidelines to respond to community spread.

Wolgok 1-dong Community Service Center has been conducting focused disinfection and quarantine of multi-use facilities and vulnerable facilities in cooperation with local resident organizations daily. However, after the nationwide spread intensified, they have been concentrating disinfection efforts on places where people gather, such as religious organizations (churches, cathedrals), elementary and middle schools, and areas with high foot traffic, in collaboration with professional groups to alleviate residents' anxiety.

Additionally, they have provided disinfection supplies and disinfectant wipes to religious organization representatives to enable them to conduct internal disinfection and cleaning on their own.

Choi Yong-sang, the chairman of the Residents' Autonomy Committee, stated, “We are focusing on disinfection and sterilization of multi-use and vulnerable facilities to overcome COVID-19, but the news of increasing confirmed cases weighs heavily on our hearts. We will continue to support residents and contribute our efforts so that everyone can overcome this together.”
