Hyundai Motor Company Unveils 'N Special Edition Bicycle'


[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Hyundai Motor Company unveiled the ‘N Special Edition Bicycle,’ a collaborative project between its high-performance brand N and the domestic premium bicycle brand ‘WeaWees,’ on the 26th.


Hyundai plans to introduce bicycles embodying the N brand’s philosophy of ‘driving pleasure’ through the collaboration of high-performance car and bicycle brands, which share the common denominator of speed and technology, delivering a new experience to customers.


WeaWees, founded by former Korean national archery team coach Kyungrae Park, applies graphene nanocarbon material, mastered from archery bow manufacturing technology, to bicycle frames, producing bicycles not only for general customers but also for national team athletes.

Hyundai Motor Company decided to proceed with the collaboration, judging that the image aligns well as the high-performance brand N and WeaWees develop products demonstrating top-level performance, gaining recognition in the global market and achieving rapid growth.


The N Special Edition Bicycle consists of two products: the road bike ‘WAWS-Pro N’ and the MTB (mountain bike) ‘Hexion N.’


The N Special Edition Bicycle will be sold later through WeaWees specialty stores and will be exhibited at Hyundai Motorstudio Seoul and Goyang from the 26th and 28th, respectively.

Additionally, Hyundai Motor Company announced it will sponsor two i30 N Line vehicles to the LX Korea Land Information Corporation cycling team, a UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale) Continental team that uses WeaWees bicycles.


Thomas Szymiera, Head of Hyundai Motor Product Division, said, “We are pleased that N and WeaWees, recognized for their technology in a short time, have come together to present bicycles embodying the N brand’s sensibility and image,” adding, “We hope to continue delivering the N brand experience to bicycle enthusiasts and contribute to the development of bicycle culture and industry.”
