67 Billion Goyang 'Broadcasting Video Valley' Development Gains Momentum... Basic Survey of Obstacles Underway

[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi-do Goyang Broadcasting and Video Valley development project, with an investment of 670 billion KRW, is gaining momentum.

Gyeonggi Urban Corporation announced on the 26th that it will conduct a basic survey of land and fixtures for loss compensation related to the Goyang Broadcasting and Video Valley urban development project until June.

The Goyang Broadcasting and Video Valley is a broadcasting and video specialized complex linking broadcasting, video, and cultural functions, with an investment of 673.8 billion KRW in the Janghang-dong area, covering 700,000㎡.

This basic survey of land and other assets is an essential preliminary procedure for compensation negotiations, investigating the current status of land, buildings, trees, and businesses included in the project area.

Gyeonggi Urban Corporation plans to complete the basic survey by June, announce the compensation plan in July, conduct appraisal in September, and proceed with various procedures such as loss compensation negotiations starting in November.

Shin Yong-seok, Head of the Economic Promotion Division at Gyeonggi Urban Corporation, emphasized, "We will approach residents with an open mind first and communicate with them to ensure that the project schedule proceeds without any setbacks."
