[Photo] Songpa-gu Council Joins Love Blood Donation Relay

[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Members of the Songpa District Council (Chairperson Lee Seong-ja) and the secretariat staff participated in the nationwide Love Blood Donation Relay on the 25th.

When the Korean Red Cross, responsible for the nation's blood donation and supply, announced an urgent appeal stating that blood donation participation had sharply declined since the outbreak of COVID-19, causing a blood supply crisis, the chairperson and council members proposed participating in blood donation on a voluntary basis on the closing day of the 273rd extraordinary session.

On that day, the Songpa District Council members and secretariat staff boarded the Korean Red Cross blood donation bus that visited the council building one by one with proud expressions, joining the blood donation campaign.

Chairperson Lee Seong-ja said, “I express my gratitude to fellow council members and staff who personally practiced the meaning of respecting life and sharing,” adding, “I hope this will help even a little in overcoming the national crisis.”
