Roy Kim's agency, Stone Music Entertainment, announced on the 25th, "Our exclusive artist Roy Kim, who was investigated by the police last April on charges of distributing obscene materials, has finally received a suspension of indictment regarding the case."

The agency stated, "Roy Kim sincerely cooperated with the investigation, and during the process, it was confirmed that he captured one image from a portal site blog around 2016 on his phone and shared it in a KakaoTalk chat room," adding, "Roy Kim deeply regrets and reflects on his careless action, as he did not realize that this act could constitute the crime of distributing obscene materials regardless of his intention."

Furthermore, the agency emphasized that the group chat Roy Kim shared was a 'separate chat room,' not the problematic chat room that included Jung Joon-young, Choi Jong-hoon, Seungri, and others as members.

The agency apologized, saying, "We sincerely apologize to those who were disappointed by this unfortunate news and to the fans who have waited for a long time," and added, "We will do our best to show a humble attitude and exemplary behavior in the future."
