According to the local news agency Ansa in Italy on the 24th (local time), the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases surged to 152, and three people have died.


The Venice Festival, Italy's largest festival held in Venice, Veneto Province, also ended earlier than scheduled due to the COVID-19 risk. The festival was originally planned to run until the 25th.


An official stated, "From the evening of the 23rd, all events, including sports matches, will be canceled."
