[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kang Juhee] Seo Janghoon encouraged a man who said he couldn't tell his father about the pregnancy news with his 22-year-old girlfriend of the same age.
On the 24th, a 22-year-old couple of the same age visited the KBS Joy variety show 'Ask Anything' and shared their concerns.
The man said, "We are a college campus couple. My girlfriend is 12 weeks pregnant. Her parents know about the pregnancy, and my mother knows too. But my father doesn't."
He added, "I don't know how to tell my father. He knows I have a girlfriend, but he has never seen her. My father is very strict. He was so strict that from middle school to high school, my curfew was 5:30 PM. I never had a chance to stay out overnight."
Seo Janghoon advised, "Whether your father is strict or not, you have a child now. You should tell him quickly, set a date, and get married." "What are you going to do about the child? Since you will raise the child, you need to change your mindset. You haven't done anything wrong. What did you do wrong? Getting married at 22 is not wrong."
Lee Soo-geun also offered comforting words, saying, "My wife got married at 21. Having a child is not a mistake but a blessing."
