[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Seon-ae] SPC Samlip's home meal replacement (HMR) brand 'Samlip Eats' announced on the 25th that it will launch three types of porridge.
'Samlip Eats Porridge' uses domestically produced 'Sindongjin rice' with large grains and high moisture content, and mixed various broths such as beef bone, seafood, chicken, and vegetables to enhance the umami flavor according to the product characteristics.
'Beef Mushroom Porridge' contains minced beef and king oyster mushrooms in beef bone and vegetable broth, while 'Abalone Shrimp Porridge' includes minced abalone and shrimp in seafood and beef bone broth. 'Nutritious Samgye Porridge,' made with chicken breast in chicken and vegetable broth, will also be released in March. After heating in the microwave for 2 minutes, consumers can add the included secret sauces such as 'Egg Spread,' 'Seaweed & Sesame Topping,' and 'Sesame Oil' according to their preference. The products are available at convenience stores nationwide, with a recommended retail price of 3,900 won.
An SPC Samlip marketing official said, "With the increase in single-person households, demand for convenient meals has risen, so we launched porridge as a simple and nutritious meal," adding, "We will continue to introduce various categories of convenient meal products through 'Samlip Eats'."
Meanwhile, 'Samlip Eats' is a brand based on the concept of 'Urban Life Convenient Gourmet,' reflecting an urban and trendy sensibility, designed to allow busy people in their 20s and 30s to enjoy a quick and delicious meal.
