One Additional COVID-19 Case Confirmed Among Testers at Eunpyeong-gu Public Health Center Screening Clinic

A Total of 2 Additional Confirmed Cases on the 24th...Family Members of Patients Hospitalized at Eunpyeong St. Mary's Hospital from February 8 to 18

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Eunpyeong-gu (Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) announced that one resident (female, born in 1963, residing in Daejo-dong, Eunpyeong-gu) who visited the Eunpyeong-gu Public Health Center's screening clinic and underwent a COVID-19 test was confirmed positive for COVID-19.

The patient visited the health center's screening clinic on the 23rd and was diagnosed positive (confirmed case) after the first COVID-19 test. She is identified as a family member of a patient who was hospitalized at Eunpyeong St. Mary's Hospital from February 8 to 18.

Eunpyeong-gu has placed healthcare workers who had contact with this confirmed patient under 14-day self-quarantine, conducted thorough disinfection of the entire screening clinic, and is currently conducting additional investigations on contacts.

Detailed movement routes will be disclosed once the epidemiological investigation results from the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency are available.

Kim Mi-kyung, Mayor of Eunpyeong-gu, urged residents who have been admitted to or discharged from Eunpyeong St. Mary's Hospital since February 1 and who have fever or respiratory symptoms to visit the nearest screening clinic (Eunpyeong-gu Public Health Center Screening Clinic ☎351-8640~1) for examination.
