Lee Ha-neul's agency, Super Jam Records, released a statement on the 24th saying, "We announce Lee Ha-neul's divorce news."
The agency stated, "After careful consideration, the two have decided to end their marriage," adding, "They have agreed amicably to proceed with the divorce process and will support each other on their respective paths."
They continued, "We sincerely apologize for delivering such news to those who celebrated and supported their marriage," and requested, "As this is a personal matter, we kindly ask that unfounded speculation and the spread of false information regarding the divorce be refrained from."
Lee Ha-neul debuted as a member of DJ DOC in 1994 and gained popularity with numerous hit songs such as 'Murphy's Law,' 'Beauty and the Beast,' and 'Dance with DOC.'
He held a wedding ceremony in Jeju Island in October 2018 with a non-celebrity partner 17 years his junior.
