[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ga-yeon] Announcer and weathercaster Kim Min-a, who showed fever symptoms during an event and was taken to the hospital, has tested negative for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

On the 24th, Kim Min-a posted on her Instagram, stating, "I tested negative."

She said, "I was very worried when I had a fever yesterday," adding, "I was afraid of the various speculations and sensational reactions that would follow after I left the venue, and I was also concerned that it might cause anxiety."

She continued, "However, even if there was a 0.0001% chance unknown to me, I thought I could not be at ease, so I decided to leave the site quickly to avoid causing any inconvenience. It was very difficult until the test results came out as the situation became known," she confessed.

Kim Min-a stated, "I thought it was necessary to respond sensitively even to slight symptoms to prevent future problems, but there were criticisms as if I had already become a transmitter."

Nevertheless, she said, "I still think it was the right thing to do," adding, "'It won't be,' 'I'm afraid it will be known,' and ignoring it could lead to bigger repercussions, so I will continue to respond very conservatively. And I will share immediately just in case."

She added, "I received a negative test result around 6:53 p.m. today," and "I am informing you again that there is no problem with my activities."

Earlier, on the 23rd, Kim Min-a showed a mild fever of 37.5 degrees Celsius during the LCK Spring regular season Round 1 match between Sandbox and Damwon Gaming held at the LCK Arena in Jongno-gu, Seoul, and left the venue.

It was reported that she went to the hospital after leaving and underwent a COVID-19 test.
