Shinan-gun Holds Mid-Year Rapid Execution Promotion Plan Reporting Meeting

Revitalizing the Local Economy through Full-Scale Financial Execution Efforts

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Ki-woon] Sinan County, Jeollanam-do (Governor Park Woo-ryang) announced on the 24th that it will hold the '2020 First Half Rapid Execution Promotion Plan Report Meeting' chaired by the deputy governor at the county office video conference room from the 20th to the 26th.

The report meeting will focus on checking the progress and execution plans of delayed projects by each department daily, identifying the reasons for delays, and preparing practical execution measures to achieve the target amount by the end of June.

Sinan County plans to execute 290 billion KRW in the first half, including the government’s rapid execution target of 189.7 billion KRW and projects in the consumption and investment sectors.

In particular, from the first quarter, the county plans to swiftly execute available resources, including the previous year's carryover budget and the first supplementary budget, targeting projects with significant economic ripple effects such as SOC projects, job creation projects, and stabilization of low-income households, to revitalize the local economy stagnated by the impact of COVID-19.

To enhance the effect of rapid local finance execution, the county will confirm the first supplementary budget early, actively utilize government rapid execution systems such as emergency bidding, expanded advance payments, and the pre-notification system for government-supplied materials, and hold regular monthly progress checks and countermeasure meetings focused on underperforming departments to achieve the local finance execution target.

Governor Park Woo-ryang of Sinan County previously urged at the weekly work report meeting, “Rapid execution of local finance is a government policy but also plays a significant role in revitalizing the local economy and creating jobs. I ask all employees, led by the deputy governor, to be determined and make every effort to achieve the goals.”

Meanwhile, Sinan County was selected as the best institution last year by executing 212.5 billion KRW, which is 133% of the rapid execution target of 159.4 billion KRW in the first half.
