On the 24th, a Daegu city official stated regarding this news, "The 85 medical personnel already dispatched for specimen collection and epidemiological investigation, and the 101 dispatched since the day before, have all been assigned to Keimyung University Daegu Dongsan Hospital and Daegu Medical Center," adding, "The head of infection prevention at Seogu Public Health Center did not have duties involving meeting the dispatched doctors."

During the regular briefing that morning, Daegu city announced that employee A, the head of infection prevention at Seogu Public Health Center who was identified as an additional confirmed COVID-19 case, is a member of the Shincheonji Daegu Church. Currently, about 50 Seogu Public Health Center staff members who are believed to have had contact with Team Leader A are under self-quarantine. It is known that none of the dispatched doctors are among them.

That afternoon, a post claiming to be from a doctor dispatched to Daegu spread on online communities. The author stated, "I have not been able to rest and have been working every day, but thanks to this person (Team Leader A), I am entering quarantine starting today," and added, "All public health center staff and nurses are also quarantined, and about 100 public health doctors are being recruited nationwide."
