According to Busan City on the 24th, this plan promotes 110 projects divided into seven sectors based on the four goals of the 4th Basic Informatization Plan (2016?2020): "Smart Administration of Sharing and Communication," "Revitalization of Busan Regional Economy," "Happy and Convenient City," and "Efficient ICT Infrastructure," with a project budget of 78.2 billion KRW.

New projects account for 48.2 billion KRW, which is 61.7% of the total budget. In particular, 42.2 billion KRW (54%) is invested in 22 leading projects in 4th industrial revolution smart technologies such as blockchain, big data, and artificial intelligence.

By sector, there are ▲13 projects in industrial informatization ▲23 projects in urban infrastructure informatization ▲29 projects in administrative informatization ▲8 projects in smart city development ▲12 projects in daily life informatization ▲16 projects in e-governance construction ▲9 projects in information welfare. The plan was finalized through deliberation by the "Busan City Informatization Committee," composed of experts from academia, IT-related associations, and related organizations in each field.

Major projects include the creation of a blockchain regulatory free zone, data-based tourism, commercial district, and urban analysis projects, smart traffic operation system construction, intelligent unmanned automated smart logistics system construction, city bus quasi-public accounting sharing system construction, mobile AI center operation, Abuba Busan Childcare Comprehensive Information Notification Service construction, and next-generation backbone network construction for the Fire and Disaster Headquarters. These projects provide new technology services that integrate 4th industrial revolution technologies and information and communication technology (ICT) across all sectors including industry, transportation, logistics, and administration.

Hong Su-im, Busan City's Informatization Officer, stated, "By faithfully implementing the informatization plan, we will actively respond to the 4th industrial revolution era and digital government innovation to create Smart City Busan that improves the quality of life for citizens."
