Temporary Closure of Daegu PB Center and Branch Office Due to Confirmed COVID-19 Case of Another Company Employee in KB Insurance Daegu Building
Emergency Disinfection Conducted in the Building, Operations to Resume on the 26th
[Asia Economy Reporter Jo Gang-wook] KB Kookmin Bank announced that from the 24th, it has temporarily closed the Daegu PB Center and branch office located in the KB Insurance Daegu Building (located in Beomeo-dong, Suseong-gu) and informed customers of the temporary closure via text messages and other means.
On the 22nd, KB Insurance decided to conduct an emergency disinfection and close the building after one of the employees from another company located in the Daegu Building was notified of a COVID-19 positive diagnosis.
Accordingly, KB Kookmin Bank will operate substitute branches during the temporary closure of the Daegu PB Center and branch office. PB Center customers can conduct their business at the nearby Beomeo-dong Branch, and branch office customers can visit the main Suseonggyo Branch to minimize customer inconvenience. The bank plans to resume operations on the 26th.
Earlier, KB Kookmin Bank learned that one of the employees at the Daegu 3 Industrial Complex Comprehensive Financial Center had contact with a confirmed case. To protect customers and employees, the contacted employee was quarantined, and the bank decided to suspend operations that day. The center conducted additional emergency disinfection work over the weekend and will decide on resuming operations based on the test results.
To provide financial convenience and minimize customer damage caused by COVID-19, KB Kookmin Bank will waive fees for automated teller machines, internet banking, and Star Banking services for customers in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions starting from the 25th.
A KB Kookmin Bank official stated, "We took immediate action according to the emergency branch operation process to protect the health of customers and employees and to prevent the spread of COVID-19," adding, "We will do our best to minimize customer inconvenience."
