COVID-19 Spread Impact: "Government Crisis Alert Raised to 'Severe', Cancellation After Much Deliberation"
[Asia Economy Reporter Jonggil Lee] Lotte Cultureworks announced on the 24th that it will indefinitely postpone its monthly program ‘Movie Howhy’ due to the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19). A company official stated, “The government has raised the COVID-19 crisis alert level to the highest stage, ‘serious,’ and the event scheduled for the 28th has been canceled.”
Originally, Lotte Cultureworks planned to hold ‘Movie Howhy: Maljukgeori Massacre’ with actors Kwon Sang-woo and Kim In-kwon at Lotte Cinema World Tower on the 28th. Although it had been postponed once due to the spread of COVID-19 and was expected to proceed, the government’s recommendation to refrain from gatherings and external activities led to the decision for an indefinite postponement.
A Lotte Cultureworks official said, “We will send text messages to members who have already made reservations and complete the refund process by the 27th.”
