Hurim Robot's 'Temi' Fully Deployed for COVID-19 Prevention on Site

[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Global robot company Hurim Robot announced on the 24th that it will officially launch the smart quarantine service of the quarantine care robot Temi to prevent and curb the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (hereinafter COVID-19).

Hurim Robot's Temi provides services based on 'non-face-to-face', 'non-contact', and 'mobility' functions to prevent COVID-19 infection, including ▲self-fever detection/diagnosis/response ▲automatic hand sanitizer spraying ▲non-face-to-face operation ▲quarantine/monitoring solutions ▲transportation/delivery.

As the spread of COVID-19 is increasing nationwide and concerns about infection are rapidly rising, there is a growing need for smooth communication and prompt response through self-diagnosis and results based on non-face-to-face and non-contact methods in multi-use facilities such as hospitals and churches, due to concerns about infection transmission or secondary infection of medical staff.

In the case of Temi's self-fever diagnosis service using a thermal detection camera, it supports ordinary citizens to self-diagnose whether they are suspected of virus infection, helping them to respond more proactively and quickly.

Suspected infected individuals are supported with location confirmation of screening clinics and video calls with quarantine personnel, and the information of suspected infected individuals is notified to quarantine personnel in real time, enabling control and monitoring. This is expected to contribute to minimizing face-to-face contact between medical staff, quarantine personnel, and suspected infected individuals while providing one-stop rapid diagnosis and response.

Additionally, Temi can provide delivery services for food and medicine through autonomous driving and remote control, minimizing face-to-face contact between infected individuals and medical staff and preventing the spread of infection. Temi's video call function can also support remote medical services.

Hurim Robot is expanding product services nationwide to multi-use facilities such as primary and secondary hospitals including nationally designated hospitals prioritizing virus infection prevention, local governments, large shopping malls, department stores, marts, and schools.

Meanwhile, Hurim Robot plans to jointly research and develop COVID-19 quarantine care solutions with Temi headquarters in Israel to provide global services for the rapid recovery of global public health and virus situations, not only domestically but also internationally.
