A Total of 60 Million KRW Supported for Projects to Enhance Senior Welfare
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gangseo-gu, Seoul (Mayor Noh Hyun-song) is accepting applications for the "Senior Welfare Fund Support Project" until the 28th to promote senior welfare and establish a foundation for their independence.
The Senior Welfare Fund Support Project is a program that discovers and supports projects aimed at enhancing senior welfare through a public contest within the accumulated senior welfare fund.
Eligible projects include ▲support for senior welfare-related organizations ▲promotion of filial piety and respect for elders ▲health and hobby activities for seniors ▲support for seniors' social volunteer activities ▲and other projects related to the improvement of senior welfare.
The total support amount is 60 million KRW, and applicants must secure at least 10% of the total project cost as self-funding to receive support.
Applicants must be non-profit public interest organizations (facilities) or corporations whose main activities are in Gangseo-gu and have been active for more than one year.
Organizations (facilities) or corporations wishing to apply should submit their project plan, application form, and activity records for the past year by February 28th either by visiting the Senior Welfare Division of Gangseo-gu Office in person or by mail (4th floor, Welfare Support Center, Gangseo-gu Office, 302 Hwagok-ro, Gangseo-gu).

The supported organizations and funding amounts will be decided in March by the Senior Welfare Fund Management Deliberation Committee, which will comprehensively review the feasibility of the project content, budget validity, and ripple effects.
A district official stated, "We hope that diverse and innovative projects will be proposed for the healthy aging of seniors," and added, "We ask for much interest and participation in this project to enhance the welfare of local seniors."
Last year, the district supported seven projects with 35 million KRW through the Senior Welfare Fund public contest.
