SK Construction Wins Reconstruction Contract for Daejeon Samsung-dong 1 District... Worth 162.2 Billion KRW

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Chun-hee] SK Engineering & Construction announced on the 24th that it has been selected as the contractor for the Daejeon Dong-gu Samsung-dong 1 District Reconstruction Project, with a total contract amount of 162.2 billion KRW.

This project involves constructing a complex of 9 buildings, ranging from 2 basement floors to 28 above-ground floors, totaling 803 residential units and ancillary welfare facilities on the site at 288-1 Samsung-dong, Dong-gu, Daejeon. Construction is scheduled to begin in July 2022, with sales planned, and move-in is expected in February 2025.

Following the successful sales of Yuseong-gu Doryong SK View and Dong-gu Sinheung SK View, SK Engineering & Construction has secured this project as well, forming the ‘SK View Brand Town’ within Daejeon.

Samsung-dong 1 District is adjacent to Daejeon Station on the KTX and Daejeon Subway Line 1, offering excellent regional and metropolitan transportation conditions. Hanbat Middle School is located within the project area, and Samsung Elementary School, Bomun Middle and High Schools are all within walking distance. As a redevelopment area in the old downtown, convenient living facilities are already fully equipped near the complex.

An SK Engineering & Construction official stated, “Samsung-dong 1 District in Daejeon is a region with high future value due to the Daejeon Station Area Development Project,” adding, “We plan to develop it into a landmark apartment representing the region through SK Engineering & Construction’s abundant project experience and excellent construction capabilities.”
