Gangbuk-gu District Administration Research Team Holds Localized Research Results Presentation Meeting

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gangbuk-gu (Mayor Park Kyum-soo) held the '2019 District Administration Research Team Final Report Meeting' on the 19th at the district office's planning situation room.

The report meeting was held to analyze local issues closely related to residents and utilize them for policy development. The district administration research team, composed of experts in the fields of economy, welfare, and administration, shared the results based on research conducted since May of last year and presented ways to apply them.

The projects were selected considering the environment and characteristics of Gangbuk-gu, including the issuance of Gangbuk Love Gift Certificates, the increase in the elderly population and decrease in the youth population, and the enactment of the 'Basic Ordinance for Revitalizing Public-Private Cooperation.'

At this report meeting, the district presented a total of four projects: ▲Research on the operation and status of local currency (local gift certificates) ▲Youth-led socio-economic participation plans ▲Discovery of potential demand among the elderly in Seoul ▲Administrative innovation plans to revitalize public-private cooperation.

Oh Hae-young, head of the district administration research team, said, "For research projects aimed at district development to be actually reflected in policies, communication and cooperation between residents and administrative practitioners are important," adding, "We will continue to discover research projects that align with residents' opinions and realities to promote customized local policies."

This year, the district administration research team plans to study ▲Development plans for resident participation systems ▲Social economy participation plans to revitalize community integrated care ▲Senior job resource surveys and activation plans ▲Youth council revitalization plans.
