[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyo-jin] DGB Daegu Bank announced on the 23rd that it has closed the branch office at Daegu Catholic Hospital and conducted emergency disinfection after a security guard working there tested positive in the first round for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
According to Daegu Bank, the family member of the security guard working at the Catholic Hospital branch was confirmed positive the day before, and as a result of testing the employee, the first round test came back positive.
Accordingly, Daegu Bank carried out emergency disinfection at the Catholic Hospital branch on the same day. All employees of the branch were placed under self-quarantine for 14 days.
A Daegu Bank official stated, "We made a proactive decision to close the branch after the first positive test result, and the operations of the closed branch will be handled by nearby Daegu Bank branches to minimize inconvenience to customers. All employees of Daegu Bank will do their utmost to prevent the spread of COVID-19."
