'Small Business Online Sales Channel' Project... Supporting 20,000 Companies This Year

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Daeseop] The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on the 23rd that it will invest 32.85 billion KRW in the 'Small Business Online Sales Channel Support Project' to support 20,000 companies.

This project was established to promote small businesses' entry into the online market and to expand their sales channels. Applications for support will be accepted starting from the 24th.

First, expert diagnosis and evaluation teams (around 5 members) will be formed by product category to assess the product quality and capabilities of small business owners and provide customized support according to their level.

Small business owners whose product quality and capabilities meet a certain standard will be supported to enter online channels suitable for their product characteristics. Those with good product quality but lacking online utilization capabilities will be matched with dedicated sellers who will handle the entire process including product registration, sales, and promotion.

Additionally, a system will be operated where consumers can view and purchase products both online and offline. When the public discovers valuable hidden products, promotion and sales support will be provided through the 'Gachi Sapsida Platform, TV, and Market.'

Applications can be made after registering as a member on the I'm Stars website, a specialized portal site for SME distribution support. For detailed procedures, inquiries can be made to the SME Distribution Center.

Shin Jaekyung, Director of Smart Small Business Development at the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, stated, "We will focus on acting as a connector between small business owners and online entities to ensure smooth entry of small businesses into the online market and will spare no effort in providing support."
