[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Hyesoo] Ju Ji-hoon has issued a challenge to Kim Hye-soo, signaling another head-to-head confrontation.
In the second episode of SBS's Friday-Saturday drama 'Hyena,' aired on the afternoon of the 22nd, Yoon Hee-jae (played by Ju Ji-hoon) becomes the lawyer for Ha Chan-ho's (played by Ji Hyun-joon) mistress, directly counterattacking Jung Geum-ja (played by Kim Hye-soo).
Yoon Hee-jae sent a warning message via KakaoTalk to Jung Geum-ja, who was in a crisis, but she did not check the message and was attacked, reporting the assailant to the police. After the fight ended, Jung Geum-ja checked the message, and Yoon Hee-jae, noticing that the '1' in the KakaoTalk message had disappeared, recalled the happy days with Jung Geum-ja and felt bittersweet.
Jung Geum-ja, commissioned by the social queen Hwang Mi-ra, successfully persuades a person holding a one-person protest claiming to have been harmed by Hwang Mi-ra by offering support for her son's study abroad expenses and living costs in the U.S.
Song Pil-joong (played by Lee Kyung-young) meets with Yoon Choong-yeon (played by Lee Hwang-ui), Yoon Hyuk-jae (played by Kim Young-jae), and Yoon Hee-jae, hinting that Yoon Choong-yeon will become a Supreme Court Justice this time. However, Yoon Hyuk-jae shows discomfort in a private setting, asking not to discuss such matters, and Song Pil-joong apologizes.
Following this, Yoon Hee-jae gets into an argument with his older brother Yoon Hyuk-jae, a judge, who warns him that becoming a third-rate lawyer can happen in an instant and that hitting the top salary does not mean becoming first-rate.
Meanwhile, Jung Geum-ja, having successfully completed her commission, attends Hwang Mi-ra's party and meets Ha Chan-ho but remains completely unfazed, piquing Ha Chan-ho's curiosity by bowing her head, calling herself a potential client.
While dining with his annoying girlfriend, Yoon Hee-jae spots Jung Geum-ja sitting at the table right next to him. The two engage in a brief battle of wills before Jung Geum-ja receives a phone call and leaves.
At Ha Chan-ho's villa, Jung Geum-ja finds his mistress Seo Jung-hwa (played by Lee Joo-yeon) collapsed and the room in disarray, roughly guessing what kind of incident occurred. Seo Jung-hwa, regaining consciousness at the hospital, confesses to Jung Geum-ja about the assault Ha Chan-ho inflicted on her.
Learning that Ha Chan-ho has entrusted Jung Geum-ja with a personal lawsuit, Yoon Hee-jae visits Ha Hye-won (played by Kim Young-ah), Ha Chan-ho's sister. Yoon Hee-jae persuades Ha Hye-won to abandon JD Law Firm and join him, saying it would be possible by using Seo Jung-hwa.
Eventually, Jung Geum-ja, realizing Yoon Hee-jae's scheme, rushes to the hospital but finds Yoon Hee-jae already sitting outside Seo Jung-hwa's hospital room. Yoon Hee-jae taunts Jung Geum-ja, saying, "You're too late. You can't even let people leave work," and reveals that he has become Seo Jung-hwa's lawyer, signaling the start of round two with Jung Geum-ja.
SBS's new Friday-Saturday drama 'Hyena' airs every Friday and Saturday at 10 PM.
