'Mr. Trot' Breaks 30% Viewership Barrier... Joins Ranks of National Variety Shows

According to Nielsen Korea, a ratings survey company, the viewership ratings for 'Mr. Trot' broadcast on TV Chosun on the 20th were 26.591% for Part 1 and 30.407% for Part 2 (paid households).

The ratings recorded by 'Mr. Trot' on this day are similar to those of past national entertainment programs such as MBC's variety show 'Infinite Challenge' and KBS 2TV's variety show '1 Night 2 Days.'

The broadcast featured a variety of performances by the trot singers, and the semifinalists were revealed at the end of the show.

With the 'Trot Gentlemen's Group' stage as the finale, the first round of the third main competition, 'Trot Aid,' ended, and the donation scores from the audience panel were totaled. The results were 5th place 'Trot Gentlemen's Group,' 4th place 'Sahyeongje,' 3rd place 'Love and Passion,' 2nd place 'Bongdabal,' and 1st place 'Family Has Come.'

After completing the first and second rounds of competition and adding the audience scores from the second round, the team 'Bongdabal' took first place. Second place was 'Sahyeongje,' third and fourth places were 'Family Has Come' and 'Love and Passion,' who ranked high in the first round, and fifth place was 'Trot Gentlemen's Group.'

Im Young-woong, the ace of 'Bongdabal,' delivered a highly polished performance and achieved the highest score, which helped the entire 'Bongdabal' team secure semifinal tickets.

With the exception of the 'Bongdabal' team, the other trot singers became elimination candidates, and a master meeting was held to select additional qualifiers. At the end of the meeting, Young Tak, Kim Ho-joong, Kim Hee-jae, Shin In-sun, Lee Chan-won, Jung Dong-won, Jang Min-ho, and Kim Soo-chan were selected as additional qualifiers, and along with Na Tae-joo and Kim Kyung-min, who tied with Jang Min-ho and Kim Soo-chan, a total of 14 contestants advanced to the semifinals.
